About Us
Uriel ben-Mordechai made Aliyah (immigrated to Israel) in 1982 from the San Francisco Bay area. His return was motivated by an inner desire to rediscover his Jewish identity and join efforts to strengthen Eretz Israel physically along with the Jewish soul of AHM Israel vis-à-vis Torat-Moshe.Uriel has spent nearly four decades in Israel raising a family, serving in the IDF, establishing a business and lecturing internationally on the Torah, and on Israel and Biblical values common to both Jews and to Christians wishing to reconnect to the roots of their faith. He has founded and co-founded several non-profit entities around the world whose purpose has been to financially assist the needy in Jerusalem and throughout Eretz Israel. Amongst these, he continues to serve as President of the NRF, an Arizona based 501 (c)(3) non-profit, which supports Uriel’s vision. He also serves as CEO for Above and Beyond, Ltd, a Jerusalem-based Public Benefit corporation that partners with Chut HaM’shulash. Both organizations have teamed up to raise funds for small businesses and needy families in the Land, and they also hosts a weekly online classroom that teaches interactive Torah-focused lessons in an open forum format. Both organizations are also engaged in ancient Biblical manuscripts research and in the publication of Biblical translations.
Uriel’s wife, Adi, comes from a diverse Jewish background giving her a unique understanding for those who have been involved in various streams of religious expression. In the mid-90’s she launched “Threefold Cord,” a non-profit organization with a specific teaching focus on various forms of cultural dance and flag pageantry. Adi held quarterly teaching seminars and performed at various conferences throughout the U.S. and abroad. In early 2001 while on a teaching trip to Costa Rica, she met a Rabbi who would forever change her life’s direction. That meeting inevitably refocused her priorities to the study of Torah and the history of AHM Israel. In 2003 while investigating the historical underpinnings of the christian doctrine of the trinity, Adi happened upon an article and online course that Uriel had been teaching, and got in touch with him.
In 2004 she began hosting fundraising events with Uriel to support needy families in Israel. She maintained a professional relationship with Uriel and his US-based non-profit (Nehemiah Restoration Fund) over the next five years. In 2009 Adi visited Eretz Israel for the first time on a Sukkot tour which eventually led her to join Uriel in Jerusalem, after their marriage in 2010. To this day, the couple is grateful to הקב״ה (The Holy One, Blessed is He) for giving them the opportunity to share the same love, hope and vision for Eretz Israel. Between them, Uriel and Adi have six children and four grandchildren.
